For Demo-BLog (“Development and Demonstration of Digital Building Logbooks” 2023-2026, €5 million) I contribute to exploitation and dissemination activities including performing a market analysis, writing and producing a video, engaging policymakers, co-writing "D5.13 (Intermediate) Demo-BLog dissemination activities including project events and webinars" and am currently organising multiple events.
For FEDECOM (“FEDErated -system of systems- approach for flexible and interoperable energy COMmunities” 2022-2026, €9 million), I lead all exploitation and dissemination activities, wrote a peer-reviewed journal paper and several key reports such as "D1.8 Innovation Management Plan” (2024), "D8.2 Plan for exploitation and IP rights management v1” (2023), and "D8.4 Market Analysis and Exploitable Results Table v1.0” (2024).
For MEDiate (“Multi-hazard and risk informed system for Enhanced local and regional Disaster risk management” 2022-2025, €4 million), I lead social, ethics and legal compliance including data management, social impact and opportunities assessment, and overseeing the legal frameworks for the obtainment and exchange of disaster risk management-related information among stakeholders.
For +CityXChange ("Positive City ExChange" 2018-2023, €24 million budget), I contributed to exploitation activities including co-writing “D8.1 Report on Market and Stakeholder analysis" and "D8.2 Report on the identification and assessment of exploitable results".
For EPC RECAST (“Energy Performance Certificate Recast”, 2020-2024, €6 million), I co-wrote and performed a literature review which strengthened D4.4 “Market and PESTLE Analysis” in 2022. The project commercialised a toolbox that will support the development, performance and validation of new EPCs with particular focus on existing residential buildings with high retrofit needs.
For WEDISTRICT (“Smart and local reneWable Energy DISTRICT heating and cooling solutions for sustainable living”, 2019-2024, €18 million), I oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding enabling post-project exploitation of the technical foreground.
For BIM4Ren (“Building Information Modelling based tools & technologies for fast and efficient RENovation of residential buildings”, 2018-2022, €7 million), I led all exploitation and standardisation activities, and co-wrote numerous deliverables such as: D8.2 “Initial Business Plans” in 2021, D8.3 “Market Analysis” in 2022, and D8.6 “Replication Plan” in 2022.
For HyCool (“Industrial Cooling through Hybrid system based on Solar Heat”, 2018-2022, €8 million), I co-wrote multiple deliverables, including D8.3 “Exploitable results table”, D8.4 “Market Analysis”, D8.5 “Business Models and Plans”, D8.7 “Report on IPR protection measures and partner agreements for future exploitation”, and D8.8 “Plan for Exploitation and Dissemination of Results” in 2020.
For GEOFIT (“Deployment of novel GEOthermal systems, technologies and tools for energy efficient building retroFITting”, 2018-2022, €10 million), I co-wrote multiple deliverables, including D9.1 “Exploitable Results Table”, D9.2 “Market Analysis v1”, D9.3 “Business Models and Business Plans v1”, D9.4 “Market Analysis v2”, D9.5 “IPR Protection Measures, Future Exploitation Agreements, and Update of Business Models and Business Plans”, and D10.2 “Data management plan”.
For SPHERE (“Service Platform to Host and SharE REsidential data”, 2018-2022, €13 million), I spearheaded the creation and signing by all partners of a Memorandum of Understanding and a Service Level Agreement, and co-wrote multiple deliverables: D7.2 “Comprehensive market analysis” (2021) and D7.3 “Business models & plans for bringing SPHERE results into the market” (2022).
For TABEDE (“TowArds Building rEady for Demand rEsponse”, 2017-2021, €4 million), I led all dissemination and exploitation activities, and co-wrote numerous deliverables, including but not limited to “Stakeholder Community”, “Communication Plan”, “Dissemination Plan”, “Exploitable Results”, “Business Model Vision”, “Commercialisation and Market Uptake”, and “Standardisation Contributions”.
For Nature4Cities (“Nature Based Solutions for re-naturing cities: knowledge diffusion and decision support platform through new collaborative models”, 2016-2021, €8 million), I advised on project exploitation strategy and co-wrote a key deliverable D8.3 “Market Analysis” in 2020. The project developed a global platform for Nature-Based Solutions has been developed to aid urban planning decisions through participatory processes
For INNOQUA (“Innovative Ecological on-site Sanitation System for Water and Resource Savings”, 2016-2020, €8 million), I co-wrote three deliverables namely: D1.2 “Pre-market study, including partial market surveys, social and acceptance behaviour parameters” in 2017, D6.3 “Identification and Assessment of Exploitable Results” in 2017, and D6.4 “Exploitation, business plans and commercialization” in 2018.
For DR-BoB (“Demand Response in Block of Buildings”, 2016-2019, €5 million), I co-wrote the grant application and a key deliverable D2.4 “Business Models”. The project integrated existing technologies to create a potential 5-year return on investment, demonstrate the solution at four sites in the UK, France, Italy, and Romania, and achieve up to 11% energy and 35% electricity savings
For MINISTOR (“Minimal Size Thermal and Electrical Energy Storage System for In-Situ Residential Installation”, 2019-2025, €9 million), I advised on strategy and content for D7.4 “Market Analysis” in 2022. The project supported the development of a compact integrated system for sustainable heating, cooling, and electricity storage in EU cities.
For HEPHAESTUS (“Highly automatEd PHysical Achievements and PerformancES using cable roboTs Unique Systems”, 2017-2020, €5 million), I advised on strategy and content for D7.1 “Market and stakeholder analysis, including identification of relevant clusters” in 2017. The project introduced Robotics and Autonomous Systems in the construction sector, focusing on critical tasks like prefab wall installation.
For NEXTOWER “Advanced materials solutions for next generation high( efficiency concentrated solar power tower systems”2017-2021, €6 million), I advised on techniques for market analysis and building a stakeholder community in 2018. The project created novel materials to improve efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and increase energy output in air-based concentrated solar power systems.
For INDIGO (“New generation of Intelligent Efficient District Cooling systems”, 2016-2020, €3 million), I guided contributions and co-wrote D8.2 “Exploitation and Replication Plan” in 2018. The project helped improve efficiency, intelligence, and cost-effectiveness in district cooling system generation by developing open-source tools, a predictive management strategy, and intelligent component controllers.
For PENTAGON (“Unlocking European grid local flexibility trough augmented energy conversion capabilities at district-level”, 2016-2019, €3 million), I co-wrote business plans for D6.6 “PUDF - Plan for Use and Dissemination of the Foreground” in 2019. The project developed energy conversion technologies and strategies at the district level to foster flexibility in low-voltage and medium-voltage grids.
For MARIO (“Managing active and healthy aging with use of caring service robots”, 2015-2018, €4 million), I planned and co-wrote D9.2 “Market Analysis” in 2017. The project addressed loneliness, isolation, and dementia in older persons using service robots by preventing or mitigating these conditions through self-perception and brain stimulation.
For Built2Spec (“Built to Specifications: Self-Inspection, 3D Modelling, Management and Quality-Check Tools for the 21st Century Construction Worksite”, 2015-2018, €6 million), I evaluated market opportunities and co-wrote D8.2 “Support services during construction to ensure the compliance with the design to enhance construction quality – a Market Analysis” in 2017. The project developed a cloud-based construction support platform that offers self-inspection and quality assurance tools to construction stakeholders.
For ToMax (“Tool-less Manufacturing of Complex Structures”, 2015-2017, €3 million), I conducted market analysis, business model development, and exploitation management to provide 3D-printers with high throughput and outstanding materials and energy efficiency, to develop energy-efficient machinery and processes, with a focus on manufacturing of alumina, silicon nitride and cermet parts with high shape complexity.
For MAS²TERING (“Multi-Agent Systems and Secured coupling of Telecom and EnErgy gRIds for Next Generation smartgrid services”, 2014-2017, €5 million), I organised a series of stakeholder workshops and co-wrote multiple reports, including D1.1 and D1.3 “Workshops 1 and 3: Business convergence – Telecom / grid operator / utility", D1.2 and D1.4 “Workshops 2 and 4: Smart grid technologies and use cases”, D1.5 “Business strategies and collaboration opportunities”, D1.6 “Use cases and business models vision”, and D1.7 “MAS²TERING Business Models”.
For REEMAIN (“Resource and Energy Efficient Manufacturing”, 2013-2017, €10 million), I co-wrote two deliverables D6.2 “Market Analysis” in 2016 and D6.3 “Replication Plan” in 2017. The project combined production processes, energy simulation, and renewable energy to boost efficiency resources in manufacturing. It offered three solutions: renewable technology innovation, predictive production models, and factory energy planning tools.
